float + wedding book :: on its way!
hi all….i know it has been forever since i’ve posted on my blog, but things have been quite busy at float paperie. i am now in my sixth month of pregnancy (more about that later), and ready for the release of my retail wedding line, float + wedding. i am currently sending out info to vendors ~ if you or anyone you know may be interested in receiving information and pricing, please feel free to contact me! all designs are available in letterpress or flat (digital) printing. photos coming soon…for now, here are a few of the designs featured in the float + wedding book.
we had a quick photo shoot yesterday morning in the studio for some upcoming press (yay!), and thought i would share a few low res pics. these images show the meeting room and sample area, more photos coming soon to the float site, along with more designs (including a custom stationery collction) and even more re-organizing. i am looking forward to a bit of spring cleaning! images courtesy of my wonderful husband, photographer anthony tahlier (www.anthonytahlier.com).
a fresh look for the float isabella design! i am loving this soft palette on an older piece of mine and using it as inspiration today. here’s to looking forward! new photos and changes to the float site coming soon!
brea + joel
here’s a recent custom save the date designed for brea and joel (with danny, their boston). we used flat digital printing and made the piece into a self-mailer 5×7 postcard. i am excited to continue the look with a letterpressed invite set using the lines and orchid illustration. thanks again brea & joel!
natalie + michael’s save the date
today is my birthday, and i couldn’t have been happier to have a client pickup this afternoon for natalie and michael’s save the date. i am in love with this design, incorporating vintage imagery and a pretty banner, a carved heart in the tree all in a sweet little bar size. it was a gift to see my time and effort being appreciated by a really nice couple. this piece is now one of my all time favorites, letterpressed in two color with a soft blush pink envelope. i can’t wait to have a photo of this piece on the float site! thanks again natalie & michael!

i am working on proofs for current wedding clients today, and couldn’t help but post this design i have been thinking about for quite a while. i am thrilled with the interest that the r+j heart design has generated, and would love to incorporate a few more designs with a simlar style into the float site. this love bird save the date will be the beginning of a new ready-made set. yay.

the weather is cold (again) in chicago today, and we are expecting more snow! yikes. i wanted to post this cute save the date recently done for a client, her invitations are on the way!

above is a recent digitally printed birth announcement (sides one and two), made for a family friend. my husband was the photographer, and miss scarlet the lovely model. the saying is one found in their home, and they wanted to include it on their announcement.

thanksgiving in chicago…
everyone in my family is a dog lover, and this thanksgiving we had quite a few little ones waiting under the table for a little taste turkey. my sister and her husband were wonderful hosts this year. here’s one of our two little dogs, marvin, and his ‘cousin’, jenks taking a peek off of their balcony…
