float + wedding book :: on its way!

hi all….i know it has been forever since i’ve posted on my blog, but things have been quite busy at float paperie. i am now in my sixth month of pregnancy (more about that later), and ready for the release of my retail wedding line, float + wedding. i am currently sending out info to vendors ~ if you or anyone you know may be interested in receiving information and pricing, please feel free to contact me! all designs are available in letterpress or flat (digital) printing. photos coming soon…for now, here are a few of the designs featured in the float + wedding book.

natalie + michael’s save the date

today is my birthday, and i couldn’t have been happier to have a client pickup this afternoon for natalie and michael’s save the date. i am in love with this design, incorporating vintage imagery and a pretty banner, a carved heart in the tree all in a sweet little bar size. it was a gift to see my time and effort being appreciated by a really nice couple. this piece is now one of my all time favorites, letterpressed in two color with a soft blush pink envelope. i can’t wait to have a photo of this piece on the float site! thanks again natalie & michael!

destination weddings!

although the weather is crummy in chicago today, the studio has been full of sunshine thanks to all of the upcoming destination weddings we are working on! yay! above is a save the date idea for an upcoming wedding – it is a two color letterpressed piece with a corresponding letterpressed envelope lining. float clients receive a few different design directions to begin with, and then we focus on the look the client prefers. the above is one of the beginning save the date directions, not the look my client chose – i didn’t want to spoil the surprise of the real save the date, so the final direction this bride selected will be coming soon.

so, this is my first blog and the last few posts have been tests more than anything. above is a float design available on minted.com, a submission from a previous bridal shower invite challenge on the site. the font, look and colors were inspiration for my blog layout.
